In 2021, "The Man Who Sold His Skin" garnered an Oscar nomination in the category of Best International Feature, adding another remarkable achievement to Kaouther's portfolio. In 2017, her work "Beauty and the Dogs" was distinguished with the Best Sound Creation Award at Cannes' Un Certain Regard. Was raised in Tunisia in a tradition-oriented family. It was in high school, thanks to her philosophy teacher, who ran a film club, that she developed a taste for the cinema. After graduating from the IDHEC film school in 1968, in the editing department, she went back to live in Tunisia in 1972. Her name appears on the credits of some of the most important Arab film from 1970 to 1990.- Béji Caïd Essebsi was born on 29 November 1926 in Sidi Bou Saïd, French Protectorate of Tunisia [now Tunisia]. He was married to Chadlia Caïd Essebsi. He died on 25 July 2019 in Tunis, Tunisia.
